It’s either a ruse to get the goods or Carla says “I’m taking a 15 minute break in Sally and Tim’s hot tub” to clear my head

A false death certificate doesn’t sever a marriage.Since Lisa knows Becky isn’t dead, any marriage Lisa entered into now would be bigamy. If she didn’t know Becky was alive & she married she’d probably get a pass on possible prosecution. Divorce would be the only way to have a valid marriage now.

I don’t disagree. But I hate the vehemence with which it is argued.

Off screen deaths on a soap used to mean something, darn it! Like a solid “not really dead” plot in a few months/years time. Even after Lesley Webber had an open casket funeral after her fiery off screen death she got to come back 13 years later!

I’m new to it, clearly, but it has very quickly grown on me. It has plots and characters that twine around each other and make soap sense. Events have implications in multiple story lines, the writing is energetic, for major and minor characters. It’s SOAP OPERA not gussied up Facebook Reels.

A blackout should result in women in premature labor stuck in elevators with their husband’s mistress. The elevator must also be hanging by a frayed cable.
