Easily readable, easily reacted to, and keeps you on your timeline longer. Maybe bluesky thought nothing of that design choice, maybe they wanted to capture some of twitter's popularity by mimicking part of it. But either way it makes this site feel like twitter-lite sometimes

Ive always felt the character limit was built off of predatory practices. Apps like tictock capilized on shortform content, and feeding you a constant stream of little bits. But twitter's characters limit kind of does the same thing. It means your thoughts need to be dumbed down to fit into one post

Ive watched a couple family members go through cancer before, im sorry you're going through this too.
