I feel like 94% (minimum) of people who have claimed to receive online death threats have never shown any proof of it. I'm sure it happens but it sure seems like an easy way to garner sympathy without looking for proof.

What is even slightly controversial about deporting people who illegally enter a country? This is nothing against asylum seekers or refugees, so calm down. It is reasonable for a country to want secure borders AND to know who is entering the country for security of their citizens alone.
