My point is people have good reasons for working public sector over private - you don't have to agree with them. I've contracted with the CS and I don't think you truly get it until you work it in some capacity - I can see the appeal, although I much prefer contracting.

I never heard of anyone getting screwed by a final salary pension. Most people just don't get them to begin with.
