Well I remember loading the paper flight progress strips; it was not especially fast considering the volume of traffic in the real world (outside CATC) but there was great reluctance to let them go, in favour of electronic strips.

Does the head of ATC tend to flush easily?

Interested to see that like Concorde and other airliners off the period, there’s a large Flight Enineer’s Panel

I hope you can visit Britain, and see the RAF Museum at Hendon, north-west London, as well as the Imperial War Museum at the former RAF Duxford, where there is a large collection of historic aircraft.
Another good museum is at RAF Duxford.

So we can see that ADS-B data was not received, AFTER the minute before the Mayday was declared. It’s most important not to assume anything from that at this stage. Although it MIGHT indicate an electrical power failure (for some reason) equally, it MIGHT NOT.

My goodness, that really makes you think! How much jet aviation has advanced with the supremacy of jet engines over propellors since WW2.

Sounded like quite large relays being controlled by these?

Interesting; this is new to me. What are you testing? HT leakage?

Never mind, I’m sure there are exceptions 😊😊

Oh good. You sound a bit like me. I like the aviation, engineering and of course, the pets on here. Cats rule, OK?

What is a TOTO?

All engine makers hit ‘difficulties’, some far far more deadly too. I have in mind General Electric and their CF-6 engine that killed 112 people in a crash at Sioux City in 1989.

What are your priorities Ma’am
Hello by the way. I was a mere ATSA by comparison to you.

What did happen?

Clearly “unphased” by the experience! Not a bright spark to be seen.

Just imagine the heat lost to Thames cooling water over the years! It’s just as well wind techniques are coming to the fore now, together with combined cycle gas / steam turbine engines, able to recover more thermal energy.
