That’s fair. But I wouldn’t put the entire blame on Newsom, but rather on the dishonesty of utilities companies. They can claim whatever they wish goes in and out from solar, and that IS a huge issue. Thinking about installing a storage battery because it would alleviate a lot of the mistrust.

These are great! We still have our panels in good working condition, but I’d be interested to know how much more efficient they would be for us. Plus that’d leave a portion of the roof so we could install solar for our pool that’s big enough to actually heat it.

Since it’s the “Big Beautiful Bill” that phases out the federal solar tax credit at the end of 2025, I wouldn’t be surprised if CA designs a plan to counter that since Gavin Newsom has always been a proponent of clean energy.

I’m jealous of that fence! We have our roof covered in panels, although I’d love to invest in solar tiling one day-and this seems amazing too! It’s incredible what a long way we have come from the first solar cells too.
