Well done the @thejournal.ie it's great to see someone push back on the real reasons. As a father of pupils in the school, it's been maddening to see so much of the skewed reporting on this.

Nasty. Used to use bitly a lot. It's probably a last ditch, desperate, survival attempt. The PMs and engineers are probably already resigned to the lights going out. No one would crapify a product to that extent otherwise.

Ah, but can you imagine getting over the embarrassment of the first time it happened, making polite jokes about it, or studiously ignoring the fact it ever happened - only for it to happen a second time? That risk just isn't worth taking!

Thanks for your response, and in case it wasn't clear, no disrespect is meant whatsoever, I'm full of admiration. I'm just intrigued (and concerned) how effective a fact/logic/truth based argument will be in winning around the general population to the realities of the situation in the face of 1/2

concerning but as yet unrealized threats being bandied around by Trump and his cronies. Do you now regret this even handiness and playing-by-the-rules approach in the face of those who only lie, bully and embrace moral corruption on an industrial scale? 2/2

I used to follow you on the now toxic site, and glad to see you here. Genuine question I'd love your thoughts on - towards the middle of 2024 it appeared that you were taking a very neutral stance politically speaking and not expressing your real opinions in the face of the then 1/2
