Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla is one of my favorite Kaiju movies because it makes you fear for Godzilla’s life. The battles are actually bloody (the squibs are a Peckinpah touch). The human story has edgy action & creepy gorilla-faced extraterrestrials. Brilliant score by Kurosawa regular Masaru Sato.
