Unbelievably tone-deaf. I'm infuriated by the Democrats who are still treating this like it's business-as-usual, a mildly disappointing loss rather than the existential threat it is.

If our nation survives this catastrophe, we need a reckoning with all who enabled it by 'taking the high road'.

As someone who spends way too much time on Reddit, one of my favorite things this week has been watching basically every subreddit I follow ban Twitter links entirely.

I suppose there's only one way to find out. Regardless, I'm not sure "Resistance is futile, abandon all hope" is a useful message to be spreading. None of us are under illusions that what's ahead of us will be easy, but it will be impossible if we surrender preemptively.

Insincere is such an extreme understatement for what they are.

One point I think you're missing is that both of those are much more collectivist societies. For better AND for worse, America was founded on liberty and rugged individualism. Our founding myth is a group of guys with guns against the strongest and best armed military on Earth.
