I tried to see if the Pixel 8 Pro (last year's model, I know) has any comparable issues, but doesn't seem like it (the room is actually much darker than the picture suggests; I wanted to really push the camera)
Selfie in a dark room, only light is indirect light from overhead lights in two adjacent rooms. The sharpness is definitely not great, but there's much less light in this room than the colors in the picture would suggest.
