I definitely agree, and as someone who is a bit awkward about asking for update cause I don't want to feel "pushy", there comes a time when it's just necessary to ask for clarity if it's not clear.

Now if the clients frequently asks after said info is given, that's becomes a different case.

I've encounter a good few artists that will definitely go MIA after acquiring the payment; and as someone who's current job is to work with customers for art prints and provide sensible feedback & updates, it always peeves me that such a simple concept is either forgotten or done intentionally.
