This is another book that I saw the movie of first so I'll probably be comparing the two the entire time I read (to the best of my memory). This is my friend's second attempt to read a book so I hope it goes better lol

Since Eye of the World is a read along and I am limited by how quickly I can read it, I am gonna read other books alongside it, mostly shorter books. I'm gonna finish my Narnia reading with Dawn Treader, the last of those books I'm interested in.

I've heard nothing but good things about this series, and I say it's about time I start delving into more classical fantasy books now that I'm done with Redwall.

I wanted more Reepicheep 😔

Watching the first movie has reinvigorated by desire to experience this series again so I only have one thing to say about Prince Caspian:

GIVE ME REEPICHEEP OR GIVE ME DEATH

I was indecisive so I put all the books I had ready on a wheel and it landed on this one. Another fantasy mice story! Though this one is about mice in the human world again. I don't really know anything about it, but I'm up for giving it a go.

There aren't that many books, at least from what I can tell, that have weasels as the protagonist. Hell, even in books like the Builders, weasels are still the bad guys usually. Kine is one of the only ones I found that are specifically about them.

Me, looking at the clock: "OH BOY 2 AM!" *grabs a new book*

Anyway, this is another fantasy animals book, except they're EDGY. OOOH.

I do a lot of reading and so it's probably not a surprise that I also do some writing, about these idiots. If you like the look of them (and don't mind a slow romance, and I do mean SLOW) then you can read about them here:

It is legit like 3 am but I wanna start Mort. It's been on my shelves for like a week.

Books have been delayed and sent incorrectly and Silksong has released since the last time I read a book. I have the entire Narnia collection so I figured... why not? I never knew this was the first one published though!

Home sick so. Might as well start reading something so my brain doesn't rot.

I need a little break before I move on to more sci-fi, so I'm reading an otter book. No, not a talking otter book, just a regular ol' otter in the regular ol' world and I hopefully won't cry :)

Why do I always start these at 2 am? Cause I like reading before bed and I get home late from work x)

This is gonna be weird to read because Peter Beagle wrote the script for the movie and from what I read so far it is THE SAME. But I feel like I should read this, anyway.

I didn't mean to, I really didn't. But I sat there to get a glimpse of what this book might be like and then I read the whole thing. It's a book about rats, and brothers, and the meaning in a name and what they're for and how you live them and how you earn them.

Its 2 am time to start reading a new book! I've watched the movie and the book is short so hopefully this is an easy read before I move on to the rest of Ursula's Hainish novels :)

I. Have no idea what I'm getting into. I read Rocannon already and it felt very.... lonely. I wonder if the rest of these will be the same.

This book showed up as a recommendation from some site, and I looked into it. Its written entirely as if its being told orally to you by someone with a southern accent. I am greatly intrigued...

I'm reading a novella! I don't even remember how I found this, but I did and it intrigued me, so I get to read about a fox. It's not that long but I'm all for trying new things. This is the first first-person POV book imma read since I started.

I think mice and rats and woodland critters are my comfort zone now. This is about regular mice in a farm house trying to work together to get rid of the humans who live in it. Which is pretty wild for mice to do.

I almost included two panels by Valerio Schiti (who also drew this reference for Rocket), cause the outfit he gives Rocket has a hoodie on with ears, but I figured that wasn't fair to the other artists who did a good job with Rocky :x
November 24, 2024 at 8:56 PM
I just watched the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 (again), so to keep this happy feeling going I'm just gonna share some Rocket panels from the comic books :D (I'll add where they come from in the alt texts!)

One neat thing about comic books is seeing the same character being drawn by many artists.
