I did some research, the last Part 145 (airline) crash was in 2009 but it was a stall and not a mid air collision. So this was the first American airline mid-air collision in 38 years.

I agree with most of this tweet except I'm confused about the "first mid-air collision in 16 years". 2 years ago there was the Houston air show disaster. The last charter flight collision was in 1987 Sky West flight 1834. The last major collision was in 1986 Aeromexico flight 498.
