Know a few people like that. I tend to distance them more now.

Like what they need is actual good therapy, and please don't don't take this as an insult, I mean this in a serious manner. It can take a lot to pull someone out, and there can be many things pulling them in. Reaching a hand to them might pull you in, too.

Why not be open to the future and learn? By learning, I don't mean watch hours and hours of traditional rhetoric, but keep an open mind and truly listen to a properly knowledgeable person speak about this progressive topic.
