the 50% cut of galleries is icky enough for me. ai etc is one thing, but galleries literally want as much as you get for your hard work just to let it hang. biggest scam in the industry imho

true since the advent of physical media but practically speaking the idea is akin to having a gym membership at some sketchy place that closes randomly vs having a home gym you can enjoy as you please (ignoring space requirements).
