While we constantly wish peace for Ukraine, we are not oblivious to the foreign greed & malice that has razed the country. The only valid terms are those supported by the peoples of these warring nations, who have suffered the greatest for an antiquated agenda of imperialism.

Text that reads: Considering the callous, if not complicit, nature of the US in the invasion of Ukraine, the only terms of peace we dignify are those endorsed by Ukraine, itself—who, in the 21st century, was needlessly invaded in an act of vainglorious imperialism—and affirmed by the Russian PEOPLE, who were forced to sacrifice their children as soldiers to this offense. We feel the last point is particularly salient to the irrelevance of the current US administration's opinion, considering recent events regarding the needless deployment of National Guard on US soil. The callous and careless nature of this administration has cost lives and leaves it with little credibility in terms of constructing peace. We do not forget the first impeachment.

If you're getting takeout, SHOP LOCAL, FAMILY-OWNED restaurants. AND 3. Optional objective: Try to fuel your vehicle (gas or electric) beforehand and reduce the number of trips you make—this might mean rescheduling extra events or going to the old lockdown standby of virtual get-togethers.

Excerpt that reads: So, reasonably, much of the military community is alarmed to see this large-scale and frequent deployment of the National Guard in 2025. In fact, the Guard is being deployed more often and in greater numbers than in the summer of 2020 among the national protests for George Floyd. Deployment with no incidents of major disorder, unrest, or violence is near unprecedented; and, that’s with good reason: It is expensive (on multiple levels) to call up the Guard. We would note that the current Secretary of Defense has previously served in the Guard, which is potentially how they’ve been recommended for such frequent action; but, we’re not sure if he’s adequately explained the civic and financial costs to the president (especially as the president still seems confused about the military’s regulations on US soil).

Truly a malicious waste of time and resources, especially with a military trying to do better by its soldiers, vets, and the much-abused NG in this era.

Framing parents as genetic donors and vague paragons of "values," but not connecting their choices to withhold allowance while allowing—if not encouraging—work in the community, speaks volumes about missing an integral point to sustainable (and ideally ethical) wealth 🤨

We applaud the US military's continued decorum & restraint as they navigate 45's martial inexperience. We note these circumstances are similar to the abrupt 2020 assassination of Gen. Soleimani & the subsequent retaliation against US bases, who held steady rather than exacerbating the incident.

This is, in part, why we did a thread about recent border measures and the military's relation to them, esp. in light of 45's history with the armed forces. Recent numbers and the circumstances of many of those charged seem to reflect the military's awareness.

We will not have a full understanding of the devastation of this genocide to BOTH peoples until it's over. The only resolution to this grief now is that family, friends, and neighbors are reunited, and Netanyahu's regime is held responsible for the grotesquely superfluous harm caused.

As the US honors the sacrifices of their enlisted and their lost, we continue to be grateful to those who remain steadfast in the face of a persistently hostile administration. Seeing the military repeatedly respond with intelligence, grace, and prioritize soldiers' welfare has been heartening.

Just to be somewhat transparent in the conduct of this trade, a few points:
List reply to previous post: • "You get free drinks" ...from dudes trying to bang with or without consent. • "...open doors..." We know women's ability to open doors seems supernatural, but we promise that dudes can do it too... or choose not to, up to you really. • "You get to live if the ship goes down with the kids..." Not sure what drama this is from, but guessing that this isn't the intended statement 🤨 Instead the "women and children first" rule comes from a disaster in which ALL the women and children on board a ship perished BECAUSE THE MALE CREW ABANDONED THEM. And, if the Maury talk show is anything to go by, men still have trouble sticking around for women and children to this day. • "You get to live longer..." Seems more like a problem with a society that encourages violence and alcoholism in men and discourages healthcare access in general. But, taking abortion access off the table will even up those numbers in suicides and maternal mortality, no worries. • "You get to wear anything you want and aren't put in a box..." Right up until trying to report sexual assault in a police station, sure. Also, listen to No Doubt's "I'm Just a Girl"; it's a bop, we promise. • "You don't have to be drafted..." YOU don't have to be drafted; again, take that up with society. • "You don't have to fight another girl to defend your man." Listen to Dolly Parton's "Jolene." Society has taught far too many women that their worth is based on having a dude; and, whether he's worthless or not, they will ruin friendships over it, if not do worse (see criminal couples, particularly re: abduction & sexual assault). • "I'll trade you my penis for that thing." A penis is not the closest anatomical equivalent to a uterus, so that wouldn't be a fair trade. For starters, a penis doesn't bleed regularly or cause potential complications when failing to do so. Considering this is literally a matter of health, we'd hope the educational system would teach about this, but who knows?

Gender legislation is feminist inclusive. It seeks to protect ALL genders, their autonomy, their access to healthcare & civil services, and their humanity. 80% of Indiana's top headlines, and for the cases listed here, we know there are dozens that aren't; so, who ARE you protecting with your vote?

It harms a military already struggling to regain good will with the public so that recruitment IS viable at the least and veterans are considered and cared for by their communities at the most.

Negotiating hereditary wealth is far more complicated (ask Holocaust survivor descendants), but there are a few sweeping steps the US can take to start:

And, as with affirmative action, facilitating vulnerable populations often creates benefits for the wider community (as we've said before). So, YES, it makes sense that the COMMUNITY would invest in these structures that benefit and safeguard them as well.

In a game of visibility, a cancer to US elections is campaign financing. Smaller candidates struggle to have equal opportunity and presence among voters REGARDLESS of whether they're BETTER EQUIPPED to serve their communities than the incumbents. US elections operate on a pay-2-win model.

When you live in a society that fails to understand that politicians aren't mascots, but civil servants, and that the "servant" aspect SHOULD mean serving the People, not a power structure that eats the People. The point of an election is not for a party to win, but YOUR NEEDS to win.

Almost 7 MILLION VOTERS didn’t choose either major political party. Before anyone plays the blame game here, as demonstrated above, this is normal for most comparable nations; the US just doesn’t have an established third party to represent those seven million*. In highlights: If a party system is ideally meant to be a menu with a delicious variety of dishes for voters, present bipartisanship has left the American People with just toast and gruel.

Excerpt from post "Reclaiming Face Masks" on bheartsaid.wordpress.com that reads: Thus, such basic hygienic practices as simply distancing and masking were condemned by these parties as part of a purported “agenda of fear” and “encroaching upon freedoms”. It was the equivalent of someone saying your mom had a radical agenda because she wanted you to wash your hands before eating. That said, in the years since the onset of the pandemic, not enough governments have done much to correct this misconception and commit to national solidarity around healing and public health. Distancing and masking continue to be presented as oppressive restrictions rather than flexible efforts of relief, ways in which people can continue to go about their lives despite hardship.
