I'm a 30-something dad who likes video games, systems, and who is unfortunately now into politics. Here's to a better world.

Here's a helpful image to accompany your explanations for people who probably don't care about or deserve them <3

Waiting for a policy that benefits workers... waiting...

I think they are physically incapable of doing it. If they had the pen in their hand ready to sign it, there would be a force not unlike a magnetic push away from the paper.
The Coalition has no policies, no plan. Labor will invest in the future. #auspol

The social stigma associated with supporting the only pro worker government in Australia to have actually won power is pretty insane. Talk with ten people about how Labor's good and you'll get ten reasons why they're not good enough, or that they're bad, actually.

In this day and age, living in a place that
- you like,
- you can afford,
- you can find a job,
- you have family/friends,
- you feel safe, and
- you *are* safe from natural disasters/bad laws/worse

is luxury and privilege. Almost no one gets to check all the boxes.

So maybe don’t be an asshole.

Highly recommend this hour long edutainment stand up special from friendlyjordies.

Notable mentions: media can't tell you how to think very well, but can tell you what to think about very effectively.

There's way more to media bias than just having a reporter say "x party bad, y party good"

That particular report was pretty bad. Get 'em Alan.
Feeble defence from ABC confirms abject failure to report Labor accurately
A recent interview on ABC was the subject of a formal complaint. The official response from the national broadcaster is even more problematic.
