Pipp may have been a bit addicted to her phone, which makes sense with her being a livestreaming pop star, but at least she considered it important to make her friends shine just as much as herself. She's a much more positive portrayal of social media stars than the usual stereotype.

That said, like you said, it by no means excuses what Ahmed Best went through by folks who weren't fans of his performance. He, like any of the other actors in the film, were working the best with what material and direction they were given, and he did not deserve the treatment he got.

Jar Jar was just meant to be a kid-friendly comic relief character, but his execution as one fell flat when all his characterization amounted to was being a clumsy goof, and he never really got much development beyond that. Not to mention being blamed for helping Palpatine's plans in the next movie.

But yeah, I feel like some folks took the way reviewers like the AVGN made their content a little too much to heart, like 'you'll only be popular if you [over]react to bad content', without understanding how to make it work without being cringey, or that you're allowed to like what you like.

I mean, the Grumps do play genuinely good games as well, although it can sometimes be frustrating when they're too distracted with making jokes than paying attention to story or gameplay. I was impressed with how well they played the first Ace Attorney game, tho.

Chrysalis WOULD be the type to make petty remarks about Starlight’s weight. She did call her a sow once in Frenemies, after all.

It's one of the few times in the show we've seen how being a family member of the Mane 6 impacts them, when they feel they're living in their shadows. Luckily, Big Mac is just as loved and appreciated for himself as Applejack is for herself, especially in Apple Bloom's eyes. =)

It's bittersweet seeing how everything comes together, since you know how things will turn out and what'll happen to the characters, and Torna itself, by the time of the main story. Especially heartbreaking is seeing what made Mythra become Pyra, and knowing what happens to Lora, Jin, and Haze...

You'd think Twilight would remember what Celestia said at the end of the last Gala, that even she thinks they're boring and likes seeing a more lively change-up in how the night goes.
