Deni back to the bench which will take some weight off of Dalano to handle the ball with the second unit, as Scoot is still out.

He’s averaged 6 AS over the last 3 games & likely to carry on such form against a banged up Mavs.

JG & Kris are both back for more size & hopefully boost our interior D
Jerami Grant will return tonight

Ant/Shae/Tou/JG/Ayton are your starters

What a game! Start to finish played hard, played calculated & improved on almost all aspects.

D.B Hooper got the energy rolling attacking the rim hard. DA followed suit keeping active inside.

We did take a few more 3’s than necessary & struggled to get our elite finishers to the rim w/ screens.

Similar to IND, we should expect SAC to attack our interior & score efficiently doing so. With arguably our top 3 shot blockers out, the game will come down to whether we can also get into the paint & make the open 3’s we’ll get.

SAC allow one of the highest 3P%, & with Ant playing heavy minutes…

PROBABLE:
- Murray (Sternum Bruise)

Not the ideal finish we hoped we would have in the first, but it’s been great to see Scoot & DA play & well at that.

Same problems as always with allowing too many fast break opportunities & failing to hold on to long rebounds.

Unfortunate that the game came down to missing too many FT’s too.

Not the most ideal 3rd quarter, but Anfernee is a Trailblazer & on a night like this his shooting can really open the game up.

Defense needs to be better inside. With our 2 best interior threats out it’s understandable but it can improve. Keep the intensity elsewhere & we should come back #RipCity

All even at the half & what a game from Scoot Henderson. 3 games out has done him well shooting 2/3 from 3 & 6 well made assists to keep the game flowing when needed most.

Anfernee being able to concentrate on scoring has done wonders as he leads the team in points, & his D seems better tonight too

Great start to the game for almost everyone, Scoot especially. Great reads to get to the basket & supply others beyond the arc.

Worrying to start with all those OREB, however with Myles out we’ve built a rhythm defensively & defending as a team well.

The 4 guard lineup to finish was also…

Walking home in -5° weather but Deni Avdija is playing Center minutes tonight against an inform Turner & Siakam.

With Clingan & Rob both out, & Ayton possibly on low minutes, if he plays at all, our apparent “Big Man Stopper” could be the deciding factor if the Pacers backcourt struggle. #RipCity

Not the game we wanted in Memphis, but took away much needed experience across the lineup.

Rups showed some great defense through the final quarter, & the effort plays of Moore were appreciated.

Lastly, just disappointing with now even more heavy minute guys going down to injuries #RipCity

The team defense in the 3rd was unbelievable poor throughout. Grizzlies waltzing into the paint with little to no bodies until the last minute, leading to too many fouls. The perimeter D also struggled to keep up after multiple passes however individually, was typical of the seasons average.
November 26, 2024 at 3:06 AM
Absolute killer start for the Grizzlies going on a 18-6 run through the first 6 minutes.

Donovan’s absence has been felt with almost everyone getting to the rim with no presence to deter the hard slashing Ja & co.

Offensive rebounding has been good credit to Rob and Tou, however as a result of…

Great thread I found highlighting Deni’s play last game at the 5 down the stretch.

Given that Clingan is out tonight, I wouldn’t be surprised if Deni plays some 5 minutes if Ja struggles back from injury, and the perimeter players struggle to hit like HOU did. #RipCity

Upcoming games for the week, all being winnable matchups.

However, Clingan is currently ruled out with a L Knee Sprain & as most Blazer big men come, we shouldn’t rush him back.

Luckily, Deni Avdija feels confident he can guard centers, per Danny Marang, being strong & a good rebounder.

Great end to a great game night. Anfernee getting back in a groove, Deni hustle, almost everything about the closing minutes went the way you’d want it to.

A small ball lineup also looks feasible against talented bigs with Deni guarding the 5, something much needed with Ayton & Robs injury history.

The WiFi is fixed and the game is on, & what a much better game today.

Jerami Grant led the way with 20pts that seemingly pathed the momentum for the team with a much better shooting night overall.

Another great change from last is the fast break points, & defending such from the fast HOU squad.

With two blocks in last night's game, Donovan Clingan has recorded 16 consecutive games with a block this season, the longest streak by any Trail Blazers rookie.

He passes Bill Walton (15), who held the record since his 1974-75 rookie season.

Donovan Clingan last night broke Bill Walton’s Blazers record for issuing 1BLK per to start a rookie campaign.

What if I said he was already a better shot blocker than rookie Walton before last nights game.

Walton’s first 15GP:
39 BLKS on 33MPG

Clingan’s first 15GP
33 BLKS on 17MPG
