It was good natured ribbing. He enjoyed his time there and contemplated moving his family out there. He is also a big hockey fan which helped.

You will find this amusing. Some years back my son was sent to work in Toronto. He was coming home for a break and his flight was cancelled because we had 4 inches of snow in the UK and all the airports were closed. He went into work next day and all you Canadians ribbed him unmercilously .

He is the British actor Charles Hawtrey, famous for many 'Carry On' comedy movies. I think they were released in the US but probably not popular, they had a very British humour.

I flew once, London to Calgary. The onboard screens were down, this wasn't mentioned until we were in the air. Luckily my wife and I had a book each, many were not so lucky.
