We had rank forever ago with the Ash IV to Iri I. But it got swapped out for the new system because people would treat the Bronze III in their lobby like trash when they're only Silver IV or something.

But yeah, more permanent modes would be my ideal. Less sweat in 2v8, Chaos Shuffle, etc.

I think the reason for that is every player has a certain MMR with their killers. If I was to queue up as someone I don't play a lot of, and the matchmaking finds me a lobby of noobs, I could then swap to my main and stomp them.

Yeah, survivors are the only ones able to swap their character in lobby. Killers are locked in from the second they queue up. You can swap to another killer while waiting for a lobby but it'll say: "Looking for Match: The Trapper" for example.

Right. That's dirty though, lol. Swapping Hunter at the last second to avoid certain builds. I have a friend that likes to swap to flashlight at the last 6 seconds in DbD lobbies because it locks you in.

Didn't the visit emote in lobby also show the Hunter? I honestly forget. Either way, that'd be annoying to deal with. I bet people also DC if they don't like the Hunter in the lobby?

As for the cipher time thing. I remember Mercenary had that as a debuff didn't he? Is that not a standard thing?

What happened in IdV? They change something drastic?
