Posts will be completely uninteresting and boring. Probably will feature pets, baseball, politics, and/or video games in some combinations.
Solving the problem is going to make some organization very, very rich, too.

The only way I can get one of my pyrs to take meds is to pry his mouth open and put my whole hand in his mouth to push them back behind his tongue. He'll nibble around anything you can hide a treat in. As long as you give them a treat after every time they'll probably accept it.

Drove a lot less in the fall/winter due to the seasonal cycles of the job, so payoff wasn't as quick as if I was doing 250mi/day 225+ days a year.

Once I did the math on how much it'd cost to add charging capability to my house (middle unit townhouse with circuit breaker on the opposite side from parking in back) it'd have taken at least two years to hit break-even at 50mpg (I've averaged 54mpg over the life of the car)

There are definitely outliers, but they're usually people who drive for work during the day in some capacity. I did on-site estimating for construction and averaged like 250 miles of driving a day, spread out fairly evenly across the work day. Ended up going regular hybrid instead.

I think a mistake was made when we don't hold individuals liable for felony actions undertaken, eg kidnapping in this case, when it's done as part of "their job" either for the government or some private industry. Throw some c-suites in jail for child labor and it'll clean itself up.

Is is a universal truth of physics that everything will fly with a big enough engine attached to it.

And casting them as an irredeemable enemy is basically a guarantee to being unable to make inroads into that group in the future. Lots of people make lots of decisions for lots of different reasons.

Doug Jones won in a statewide race in AL due to it being a special election. It's turnout & voter information.

From a game theory perspective you'd expect the NFL to have the most parity due to the hard salary floor & cap, but it doesn't really work out that way. Coaching & QB play have a much larger role than in any of the other US sports.

If he pulls off a Natty at UNC I think he immediately overtakes Saban as the best CFB coach of all time no further notes.

There is something incredibly comical to me about putting a bonus clause in for winning a national title at North Carolina. Like, is that clause even necessary?

Dogs are loving it, the wife is not quite as impressed.

My dogs both do that too. Unfortunately they're both pyrenees so there's only so much I can move the giant furballs.

Self hosted streaming media has been absolutely amazing.

Honestly why I went 100% digital. Started self-hosting a media server with Plex about 12 years ago and haven't looked back.
