Seagulls do a great job of holding the brightest whites in their feathers. A bit of underexposing with a dark reflection from a landmass in the unseen background for dynamic lighting. Also some tongue out to spice it up. Late winter scraps.

In the hierarchy of birds that glide along the waves, seagulls typically take the higher elevation path. Lining up with them for photos when they fly close to the water is pretty difficult and doesn’t happen often. After this frame I had to duck my head.

What can we learn from dolphins? That’s my brainstorm of the week. The more and more I watch this pod, the more I reflect on my own actions and how I can be better. Watch, learn, and improve.

Shortly after fixing the internals of the camera housing, I ran into some water leak issues. Resolved that just in time for several weeks of heavy surf and chasing the grind. Lots of bicycle time, surfing, swimming, and capturing a few fun moments.
