S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is quite good in its best moments but you could retitle it "Mirror's Edge Ukraine" for how much time is spent just RUNNING.

Watching the Pacers and Knicks tonight carried no small amount of added glee thanks to actually being in New York during it. Choke indeed.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 starts off with an interesting creative decision by Neversoft. For a follow-up to a game with a celebrated soundtrack, they start you on a level with constant industrial noise drowning out all other sound. A bold opening move.

And yet the weapon survival levels in the mission pack DLC are almost enticing enough. Maybe after I take a year-long break.

Wowzers, I may not finish Ninja Gaiden II because of this final chapter. I was gearing up to be annoyed by the boss rush but even Murai's grabs in NGB had nothing on this.
Such a disappointing thud for the game to go out on.

Aaaaahhhhhhh, if only the fight at the Colosseum in Ninja Gaiden II could have lasted just a bit longer. It's the best one in the game so far (in a game that's been pretty lacking in good boss fights).
Luckily the weapon you get from it is absolutely KILLER. (Of course it is, it's a weapon.)

That's Ninja Gaiden Black done. Incredible combat, some frustrating boss fights, and liberal use of save states, and it's done. Don't think that I will ever find myself playing this first game again but I'm excited to get around to NG2 after a break with some calmer fare (and waiting for a sale).

Several chapters into Ninja Gaiden Black and feeling multiple emotions towards it, but it's the first game in a long time (if ever) that's inspired that unique flavor of anger in me. The anger that gets things done, that says "I WILL beat you, developer." I can't believe how good it feels to play.
