There’s a lot that kind of falls flat due to the very obvious gender essentialism which is pretty out of fashion with most people in the LGBTQ+ sphere nowadays but the gender as part of the soul was used as pro-trans rhetoric at some time.

Sora’s desire to become a woman isn’t really born from some inherent attraction to the other gender moreso that it was formed by the social interactions he’s had and how he’s pretty much only been around girls (because he thinks the other boys are stupid)
