In a time of heated debates and federal authorities disproportionately targeting immigrants from Mexico, it’s important to recognize the contributions of Mexican immigrants, their descendants and our culture to the United States. We don’t have to justify our presence here. We are America.

What is the Bay Area’s most important culinary creation?
