so I had 3 months to make this comics thing work. When I gave my notice, the president of the company literally told me I'd never make it on my own, and I'd come crawling back to him.

Now I'm my own boss, making far more money, and I get paid to make comics books all day. He can go fuck himself.

It was five years of being treated like garbage by corporate suits who only cared about money. We were treated like inanimate objects; just tools to an end. Every day was like a low-grade panic attack. When I decided to quit, my wife and I saved up 3 months worth of mortgage payments...
