My #astrophotography highlights for 2024. What an insane year it was to spend under the stars, without even having to venture out of Indiana.

First night under the stars in a while has me feeling refreshed 😌

Comet C/2025 A6 Lemmon

Haven’t done much #astrophotography this year as I’ve been busy with other things lately but knew I’d regret it if I missed out on this comet.

This is a 4-shot composite image of this morning’s lunar eclipse with 3 longer exposures to capture the eclipsed half and the glow behind the moon along with a shorter exposure to capture details in the uneclipsed half. The stars were added in from an image taken during totality.

We’re just about a week away from a total lunar eclipse on 3/14 (early am). This is a photo I took from the last lunar eclipse visible here in central Indiana, taken back in Nov 2022 with my first camera and a 200mm zoom lens.

Milky Way Core season has begun 🙌 This was my first MW shot last year, taken April 7th (like 36 hours before getting to see a total solar eclipse 🤯)

Cannot wait to get out there again sometime in the next few weeks
