Hello and happy Monday, my voidlings. I apologize for not posting over the weekend. I was a bit distracted Saturday, and yesterday I marathoned the Lord of the Rings trilogy with my wife (my first LotR experience). Today, however, is going to be a busy one. Below, I will list out my week for those interested in my writing plans. This schedule may or may not last through the month. As soon as I have a stable job, I will adjust it to fit that schedule. Monday- Write for 4 hours minimum.

Salutations, my wonderful voidlings. I hope all is well with you this week, especially my fellow Americans trying their hardest to survive this inclement political storm. I do not intend to bring up politics further, so let me get to the nitty-gritty of my return. For those who have followed me through my struggle blogs, you may already be wondering why I have blogged once more after my hiatus announcement. And that reason is the light that I can finally see at the end of the tunnel. No, I do not mean that I intend to harm myself.

How are my voidlings doing in this turbulent year? Me? I have spiraled so far down that I would rather be living on the streets than continue living in my current situation or returning to live with my father. I never expected to get a death threat from my mother-in-law just out of the blue and for no reason. The violence has grown so much in the past few weeks, and her legal guardian refused to see or understand what I was going through as I have been forced to stay home and watch over my wife's mother.

Yes, as the title suggests, there is a hiatus for the foreseeable future. Work on "A City of Secrets," Book 2 will be put on hold for a while. Due to my living conditions worsening and my inability to find the time to write, I have no other choice. Yes, I can choose not to work on it for a time. But by placing it on hiatus and announcing it, it frees up my thoughts and helps alleviate my anxiety a bit. Now, as for how long Origination will be in this status, it depends on how long it takes to get things taken care of here.

Good morning my little voidlings. I have some unfortunate news. As I lay here in bed at 5AM, I am in the midst of some of the heaviest back pains I have dealt with in years. I had originally wanted to post about my major accomplishment yesterday and give a daily goal. Sadly, due to what transpired early this morning, I don't think I'll be able to do anything for the next day or two. I don't want to drag on with a long explanation so I'll shorten the story as best as I can.

Sorry for this minor update, my wonderful voidlings, but I made a tiny mistake in my last post. I mentioned that I was not grabbing Photoshop because it was too expensive. At that time, I was unaware of a free version available (Adobe Photoshop Express) on the Microsoft store. I haven't owned a Windows PC in years, and my last computer was a Chromebook. So, I'm still readjusting to the Windows format and programs that have since been available. So, I now have a Photoshop program along with gimp. I have not used these yet (yes, I know I said I would start a file), but intend to work with them in the near future.

Hello, my little voidlings. I have a couple of updates for you today. Unfortunately, this week has been far more hectic than usual. So, finding the time to write has been quite difficult. That doesn't mean that I haven't done anything. Thankfully, I was able to get a few hundred words down. It's better than nothing. And now that it's the weekend and my wife is off, I can focus heavily on my manuscript for the next two days. Before that, however, I will be starting a file for a pocket-size book for Illusion.

That's right. Now, Illusion is up and ready to read on Ream. For those who do not know, Ream was created to combat the censorship currently plaguing the industry. This also allows for more freedom for indie-published authors like myself. Ream also enables readers to further support the authors of their favorite works with monthly subscriptions. As authors, we also have the ability to set up subscription tiers. If you know about Patreon, it is essentially the same thing. Now, let me talk about my plans on Ream. As of now, both the prologue and chapter 1 of Illusion are available for free for non-followers.

Hello, my voidlings. I hope your weekend has been going well. Aside from the cold, wet weather I am currently dealing with, things here have been relatively okay. In fact, yesterday, I was able to squeeze out a little over five hundred words. This now brings my manuscript to 17,000. I will admit to getting distracted with anime, which ended with me starting late. But, in the nearly two hours I worked on it, I got more done than anticipated. I expect today to be far better. I am setting a daily goal today of 2,000 words.

Writing is slow but still going. Book two has nearly reached 17K. Considering I am looking at a minimum of 75K, it's not much. But progress is progress. In fact, I only put in 200 words yesterday and not even 50 the day prior. I will admit to getting distracted by anime. Today, however, I plan to get far more done—little to no distractions today. I will throw on some music and put my document in composition mode (if you know Scriverner, you now how great that is). My goal is to complete the chapter that I started yesterday and get a little bit of the next one done.

Hello, my little voidlings. Sorry for the late update. Unfortunately, I have been sick for the past week or two. What's worse is that I faced two different issues back to back. It's great when you have a weakened immune system due to stress and a wife who works around kids. Whatever I had is nearly gone, and things are getting better. Well, I wish they were better. I sadly got the news that I was fired for missing too much work due to all this. At this point, I'm not even going to fight it.
