Put the timelapses a little bit on the backburner, because new music track was made!
Sadly I only realized too late that some of the endframes are missing :/

Hope the video is interesting anyways!

I wouldn’t bet on it, sadly. 🙁 I’ve confronted them about it over 8 months ago, and all they did was block me and continue as if nothing happened.

Tbh I was kind of surprised it didn't snowball

Art theft this blatant should be called out, and we shouldn't rest until crumpie has no platform whatsoever anymore

how do you feel as part of the pixel art avengers

Or they'll just cut out the middleman and generate the AI slop they trace over themselves.

Absolutely! Either traced or just shameless recolors from other pixel artists.

I'm convinced there is a handful of original pieces on their account tops – and for those we can't find via reverse image search, we just haven't looked hard enough.

Seems like they deleted their AI-traced Meowth over in the other place. Must've hurt with 52K likes and thousands of retweets.

Now the usual patterns begins: once they're caught, they delete the images we've proven are stolen, lay low for a while, then continue as if nothing happened. Infuriating.

I don't get this. They seem to be very actively engaging with their followers, and building some sort of community, esp. over in the other place.

Why would you do that if it's all built on stolen art? Where's the benefit?

100 % agree, great thread!

Also wanna note that there is merit in making game design decisions that align with your overall vision of the game, even if its uncomfortable.

Silent Hill 2's deliberately clunky combat is meant to make the player feel powerless and greatly contributes to the atmosphere

Yep, their "artwork" usually falls into one of three categories:
- Traces of AI-generated images on Pinterest
- Traces of traditional artwork without credit for the original artists
- Lazy palette swaps of other pixel art with minor edits (color, composition, background)

This is so egregious.
