"The Defenestration of Garfield" / digital rendering / 2021

This drawing was a tribute to one of my favorite Twitter accounts (at)yeetgarf "Garfield thrown out the window" in which Garfield comics were edited to always end in a panel of Garfield being thrown out of a window which was extremely stupid but I loved it. I miss the old Twitter sometimes. Sigh.

I've been watching lots of competitions on pain meds while I recover from top surgery these past few weeks. My favorites have been that big football game, the four countries play hockey, & Taskmaster series 16-18. These are the Winners.

In the second panel, a pair of cannons wheel in and blast down the ladder and part of the cliff causing the characters to fall. Four characters come in with a safety net to catch those who are falling. None are harmed. In the third panel, the characters work together to start to rebuild the ladder. In the fourth panel, the ladder is rebuilt. It's a little wonky but fully functional, and the characters ascend the cliff again. Texts below the panels reads "In times like these, perseverance is the greatest form of rebellion". Text below the image of the postcard reads: "January's postcard is a chonky 5.5" x 8.5", glossy on thick quality cardstock." This image shows the exclusive sticker I designed this month. It is an arch shape featuring a character from the postcard art: a little anthropomorphic fish head dude wearing a hoodie, work pants and sneakers. He is carrying a large stack of wood boards and a hammer and a box of nails bounce along on top of them as he walks. The text on the sticker says "building and making will always beat trashing and faking". The text below the sticker reads: "January's sticker is 3" x 3.5" and printed on thick, high-quality vinyl.
