I left the school district I was librarianing for because we were outright told in a group meeting by administration that we would “need to set aside our professional ethics” re: book bans and removing books from shelves “temporarily”. This was almost three years ago. It’s never temporary.

Librarians take privacy very seriously, so much so that we keep your Library Grades secret from even you.

I can share the rubric, though: if you went to the library and picked out materials you were interested in, then you have an A+ in Media Selection and Library Use. Well done!
