Here’s Swinney’s “austerity” in graph below. The big divide in modern politics is between those who are interested in the hard work of fixing real problems & those who want to create an unreality to disguise their true intentions. Swinney is choosing the path of bullshit here.

I wouldn’t encourage comparisons of my approach to cryptocurrency to that of Trump if I was Farage. Trump’s crypto grift has opened the door to unimaginable levels of corruption. Farage might want US style politics over here, most of us shudder at the thought.

A movie that takes place where you’re from.*

*Rob Roy (1911). Arguably the first ever Scottish movie, was made at a small studio in what is now Rouken Glen Park in Thornliebank.

Unexpected day in Commons in first Saturd sitting in decades - but what a difference to have a government that intervenes to save jobs, after watching the Tories and SNP sit on their hands for so many years.

Privilege to meet Save Ukraine ahead of my question to the Prime Minister today. Deeply moved hearing how Kseniia & her brother were rescued after being abducted by Putin. Was presented with a painted flag made by rescued children as part of their rehabilitation. Now pride of place on office wall.

Labour’s plan to give millions of workers a pay rise has just passed the House Commons. In one week, 3 million people will receive a £1,400 boost in the national living wage.

Tomorrow, like every other day, the SNP will claim that Labour are continuing Tory austerity. It's utter bollocks that is designed to give themselves an excuse for their own incompetence and inability to improve services despite being handed an extra £5bn. Don't let them away with it. 👇

Don’t drink very often but tonight am toasting Georgia’s democratic protesters and enjoying the final bottle of wine bought on my last trip working with them. 🇬🇪🇬🇪🇬🇪🇬🇪🇬🇪

After a morning spent door knocking, a perfect rest of the day in East Ren. Blubbed my way through an amazing production of The Little Mermaid put on by the amazing Superkids. Walk and bike ride in the Mearns countryside to see the new lambs. Delicious pizza from 800 Degrees in Giffnock for dinner.

Decided to frame this 1930s Labour pamphlet for my office wall in the House of Commons.

Himars & GMLRS are manufactured in factories across 141 different US cities. Javelins are built across 16 states. Artillery shell production in Pennsylvania has trebled. Like all nationalists, his narrow worldview is utterly self-defeating. Supplying Ukraine is creating and sustaining many US jobs.

A real Dora Gaitskell moment.

The Tories have wasted PMQs, debates, urgent questions waiting for the opposite headline to this.

X is now a weapon for the authoritarian far-right. I left it weeks ago. Others have to make a judgement as to whether their continued presence legitimises a dangerous platform.
