My old man hockey feeling is that most playoff teams or teams that consistently make the playoffs tend to find ways to win those types of games the sens have lost this year, don't give up back to back goals like the sens do etc. but that's not scientific

That's fair but whatever the value of the public models are that is something that has changed from past years yet the results are the same or worse so I'm not exactly sure how that squares. It could also just be that he missed most of training camp? Or the sens are just cursed lol

This just isn't true this year. They were top 5ish in xg differential this past weekend. The goalies have terrible saves above expected. Why this constantly happens is hard to explain... Bargain bin goalie coaches?
