Husband, dad, granddad, thriving and alive. Happy to continue contributing to the world in my post-retirement. Hoping that we find a way to understand each other in our differences so that we don't make mortal enemies, but collaborators on a loving path.
If you are looking for a razor sharp rebuke of the systems we are in, read this book. It is the clearest, most erudite analysis of six words that have become weaponized in our culture. A compelling read. Billions $$ being made in the pursuit of disinformation leading to hate and enemy making.

This is a very good read. Carol Off re-claims some of the words we use to divide. She has added to the conversation.

Perspective. Step away. Get to someplace where beautiful people are enjoying the gift to be alive. We come with only so much resilience. Take in an outdoor concert where kids are laughing. Breathe. Find joy. Tomorrow's mess will be there tomorrow.

On a happy note, 7 years ago I married this beautiful human. What an amazing, joy filled experience. We laugh everyday.

When you get lost in the rabbit hole of political shit, this could be a reminder that we live in a beautiful world.

Steveston United Church prepares for its last Easter service. "Of any institution the church should know how to die." Rev. Sue Laverty.

Find the Risen One in life, in the struggle for life. There you will see that He is Risen, risen indeed.

Easter blessings to you all.

Still beings tears. Some people are just really wise. Thank-you John Steinbeck.

And on the west coast of Mexico the sun sets on a beautiful vacation. Distracted a little by the lack of curiosity anywhere in our world, I'm reminded that a cloud can cover the sun, but it will never extinguish its light. This light is all of ours equally. No one has a claim on it.

The view with coffee this morning. The sun rises on another glorious day. The beauty of all creation will be on my heart today.

The sun set on another day. The colours are spectacular. Never forget, no matter where stand politically, this is the same sunset on the same day. Do we really want to continue risking our own home? For more money? When Orange Man is dead, he will understand.

The thing, the only thing, I miss about Facebook is the friends and family photo check in. And the thing I'm concerned about Bluesky is how political it's becoming. I get that this is the time we are in. So just look at what we got to watch tonight.

In case we ever need a perspective beyond ourselves. Appies with a whale of a view.

So while we are watching every step in this trade war, we are blessed to do so from the most beautiful beach on the west coast of Mexico. Canadians are way more like Mexicans than US citizens. What about an exclusive trade alliance?

I needed to.remenber that life in its fullness will be found in the present moment. Reality is what we make it. And kindness always has more power. This beautiful humpback breached on a trip to a place where kids are safe to be who they are and who they are becoming. Peace be with you all today.

This is my first post on Blue Sky....just to tell you the Christmas angels are all tucked away for the year, but the hope inherent in the audacity to even decorate, will be with me all year. My hope for this Blue Sky experience is that we find a way to understand each other and our differences.
