I understand why the director didn't want to "give the game away" by showing the TARDIS materialising in "1980" before Sarah sees it, but there's no reason this beautiful model shot couldn't simply have been reversed to show them leaving at the end of the sequence instead.

Awwww, if there'd been enough time to record this scene from "Frontier in Space" properly, we could have got a more conclusive farewell to Roger Delgado's Master, rather than the extremely confusing, cobbled-together and rushed climax that we ended up with...

"Colony in Space" is the 58th pencil drawing in my "One Story, One Image" #DoctorWho art project. Here are all three versions of the aliens on Uxarieus. To fit them all in at the scale I wanted, I had to make some overlapping/superimposing decisions for this one!!

I don't know who changed the Doctor's line in "The Three Doctors" here, (possibly Terrance Dicks,) but I think it's so beautiful that the final words that William Hartnell ever said in #DoctorWho were "I shudder to think how you'll manage without me..." 🥹

I thought I knew a huge amount of behind-the-scenes trivia about #DoctorWho but, browsing the pdf archives on the Season 8 Blu-Ray Collection, I just discovered something I did NOT know:
"The Time Monster" was originally going to be called "[The] Daleks in London"??!!!!

I thought I knew a huge amount of behind-the-scenes trivia about #DoctorWho but, browsing the pdf archives on the Season 8 Blu-Ray Collection, I just discovered something I did NOT know:
