Yes, I think he brought a lot of that stage experience to the role, it really helped make Sisko his own.

And there is such a raw and truth in the monologues in this episode, it just sort of transcends everything in the best way.

It remains the single most powerful episode of tv I have ever seen. Avery Brook’s performance is just incredible.
