Super performance and win again for United Women today, 2-1 scoreline sort of masked how superior they were to Durham. Amy Andrews once again tireless up front but every single player put a real shift in today. Really like this team and they're playing good, smart football atm.

Big fan of academy product Tilly Bristow who, in admittedly-limited minutes, currently leads #WSL2 in tackles, blocks AND fouls per 90 minutes (and wound up drawing a red card out of an Ipswich player in our previous game).

Pretty brutal start for United Women who lose 4-0 at home to Sunderland. Started well and the first goal came out of the blue, but an alarming result against a team I expect us to be of a similar level to. Rough debut for Parker-Smith in goal (4SOT for Sunderland) albeit some v good finishes.

1-0 it finishes as the Blades start the group stage with three points. Lots of missed chances for United. Senior players stood out but thought captain Libby Thompson was superb at the back. She set up the winner with a great long pass. First time I've seen her, looks a real prospect.

Nipped to Dronfield to watch United Women v Barnsley in the cup. United enter a PGA side (U21) but have Joy Ralph, Lauren Thomas and Abbie Lafayette starting tonight. Lafayette's goal the difference at HT.

Youngster Tilly Bristow signs a 2(+1)-year deal with the Blades - this is fantastic to see the club not only giving players security of multi-year deals but also protecting our own investment in them. Congrats Tilly on a first pro deal!

I'm assuming AT SOME POINT United Women will confirm the players who are staying / leaving this summer, but for now backup keeper Bethan Davies has joined Huddersfield (joining Jacqui Hand and Maria Farrugia as known departures).

United's Maria Farrugia confirms she's leaving the Blades at the end of her contract. Not too shocked to see her move on even with United's relegation reprieve, interesting to see where she goes next as she's much better than the bottom of the Championship.
