I know football coaches salaries are largely from athletic foundation funds. But it's ridiculous for a public institution being on the line for millions if they fire a coach who was sucking ass. The greed in college sports has destroyed it and has made it unwatchable

It’s hard to fathom the logic here but totally expected. And to add salt to the wound the government also today basically just cancelled grants to the same Hispanic serving institutions that the money from this program was going to be redirected too. They lie so much they can’t keep track of

I understand that it is important to be dedicated and go all in on one’s science. But this attitude that one’s science and the papers we publish should define our happiness and life’s purpose is unhealthy and unrealistic
