Summary: All the shots Steve showed him were of some six-foot model with dark artfully-styled hair, and the beginnings of a well kept moustache and goatee, and clothes that definitely cost more than their rent. He also always seemed to be standing in front of a gorgeous coastline, or some luxury, million-dollar house. And Steve wasn’t in a single one. Which was when Sam realised this was all a scam. A harmless scam intended to raise Steve’s self-esteem, sure, but a scam nonetheless. Sam's just happy that Steve's happy - even if his new guy is completely made up. Because surely Tony is too good to be true. Right?
