To make housing affordable in California, 2.5 million units need to be built in the next 8 years. That’s about 300,000 per year.
The last decade has averaged 100,000 per year.
This is where much of homelessness comes from.

1968 minimum wage was over $16 in today’s dollars. With the growth of our GDP, it should be higher than that today. But wouldn’t it be good to at least keep up with inflation?
