Did you catch Ben Darwin talking about cohesion and the challenges facing the lions? He's now a researcher and analyst. Lots of interesting observations and especially prescient on key injuries and how the Wallabies could find success against a tired lions. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rsft...

I remember a conversation with club officials of a large private schools f.p. team. They genuinely couldn't understand why 'one of their own' had left to found a club (mine) in an adjacent working class area. A larger rugby pathway didn't develop partly because those in power didn't really want it.

Might not have made the difference but apparently Sione didn't train yesterday.

This is different to either of the examples in that though. Sheehan both dove forward for the line and avoided a legal tackle imo. When Wayne Barnes shared that I wasn't sure whether he felt it was legal or not.

Leaving your feet and jumping into the space outside the corner flag feels different as you are not jumping over a player per se but that was the kind of play the law is there for. Clarification incoming.

Match losing penalty sweepstakes have a clear favourite at least.

Maybe speculation but it's read that way here.
'A measure of the man' - Ringrose ruled himself out of Lions Test start
The Irish centre had been told he was starting against the Wallabies.

Same margin as last year vs scotland. Impressed by USA conditioning and physicality of defence.

More important to high point these with no escort and run it back threat. If he's fit he probably plays gets in at wing and lions go 6-2.

2+2 =5 maybe but if this is correct then pretty sure Aki starts - made his mind up early and more ruck clearance required from 12 with this pairing?

Its looking like Lowe, Kinghorn Freeman. Keenan has a better chance of test 2 or 3 with Kinghorn pushing out. Smith needs a stronger performance to be considered at 23 for any game I think.

I'm just hoping it's not to do with Finn's wrist. Strange decision anyway.
July 3, 2025 at 12:38 PM
Maybe planning to have 3 centres and Freeman in 23? A 3rd 12 Makes sense if Earl not a serious option.
July 3, 2025 at 12:19 PM
Drew Mitchell and Adam Ashley Cooper picked him out as one the key performers, couldnt understand why someone thought he played poorly. Same bullshit narrative has taken hold. Thanks Irish rugby media.

With Williams and jgp both carrying knocks You don't have to squint to see how Aussies can win this. I'm hoping the cut to farrell cursing after the mccarthy try was about his terrible option.

The Irish independent podcast was horrific on duhan - 'analysis' based on vibes. Also felt that fin smith had shown enough to keep Russell out of the team (some pushback tbf) and Gary ringrose was one of the biggest winners due to siones performance at 13. Clowns.

Tight head going in under pressure? Yeesh.

Based on yesterday I'd be willing to give Bronny a shot.

Hong Kong is the first country to experience a COVID-19 wave driven by the new NB.1.8.1 variant.

From the Hong Kong surveillance report, wastewater is the most consistent indicator. That indicator is still trending upwards, to the highest level since mid-2023.
