This is the whale on the rocky intertidal in Rocky Harbour, Newfoundland. It was moved to a boat launch where the animal was processed. The skeleton was processed and is on display at Memorial University of Newfoundland.

Another cool lobster from last summer. This pale blue critter moulted while a summer student was talking to a bunch of tourist about the genetics of lobster colour. You can see the shed exoskeleton to the right. #invert

There is a small public aquarium in the research facility that I operate. When local harvesters find something interesting in their traps they often bring it to us to display. Here is one of last summer's critters. I've seen several lobsters split 50:50, but this 75:25 critter is new to me. #invert
