I thought this was related to the well established amateur radio Parks On The Air or POTA scheme!

Log4OM for me, like that it can upload automatically to QRZ or HRDLog etc., wish it had a dark mode!

Have to buy online, nearest decently sized store is a 9 hour drive away.

A tad upset wasn't he! Digital modes actually got me active again because I could get decent results with basic setup and the rest of the household didn't have to hear me calling CQ from the back of the living room!

Despite repeated attempts I have never had a successful QSO via amateur satellite, might dip back into it with these new FM satellites, thanks for the update.

Looking good, got my new 10/6 Moxon built and up in the air in time for a bit of 6m activity here today, got one FT8 in the log with DE land, looks promising, much improved over the vertical, see how the season progresses.

I tune a radio to CRI in the evenings in the shack, usually 7305kHz for the music program, nice background music, no chat.

A computer is integral for my #hamradio activities, logging contacts, spotting new contacts on the Dx Cluster, working stations using digital modes, node-red automation, remote SDR's, many crossovers between ham radio and computing.

It's a great band for UK to JA contacts too, my go too band most days. #hamradio

Just had my Sunday night bath accompanied by some lovely music on shortwave from China Radio International on 7305kHz, radio is an XDATA D-808.

Analogue FM seems to be included as a mode on most of the digital mode radios from the traditional amateur brands, ICOM, Yaesu etc., if you just want FM then cheap Chinese rigs aplenty for £30 or less, if you just want DMR then cheapish commercial handhelds are available.

This was the first transceiver I bought new when I got my license, still got it as it's so well built, quality rig right there.

Just using a Pixel 9 phone, camera in night shot mode, works rather well.

Marti Pellow is howling frankly.

You Tube has loads of 'how to' videos, good luck and enjoy the radio.

Tons of action on all the HF FT8 and FT4 frequencies, 10m is hoaching with day time signals, if you have a compromise station - sub optimal dipole for example, you can still work the world, but yep 2 & 70 are a bit quiet here too.

My go to for solar data, easy viewing too, thanks!
