The kids today will never know the experience of playing a random RPG and stumbling into a gif that makes them feel "weird but good".

As a teen, seeing the way Xiao's tail lifted her tunic was a watershed moment for me and what I like about the way tails interacted with clothing. It's still a favorite of mine when that stuff is modeled in media, it adds a sense of realism to the design that I greatly appreciate.
