30, filled with nonsense

Ouch. Imagine if a capable studio like Pixar or Dreamworks could work with this source material.

Just give them the scene where Luma waves Mario goodbye and flies into the black hole and tell them that this is where adults have to start sobbing. It could be absolute cinema.

The longer I think about it, the more ill-suited I find Illumination for the Mario Galaxy movie.

If they want to stay true to the source material they will absolutely fail. This is not Pixar we are talking about. They don‘t know how to make movies with a heavier emotional tone.

A philly cheese steak, a kinder bueno crêpe and some frozen yoghurt I shared with two friends.

It was tasty! (but unreasonably pricey)

:^) Maybe. But I got excited about a song I heard at a little street food endeavour tonight. I went to check out the lyrics and well… it‘s jarring at times.

This unhinged form of capitalism - where line has to go up at any cost - has fried people's brains beyond salvation, I fear.

I mean… they could also just not write about death. They can just choose to ignore that topic alltogether.

Ah, because of the implied slowness. For a second I was wondering if the creators were german and just translated the slang term literally. Because "Schnecke" is like a flirty, suggestive and somewhat outdated way to adress a woman over here.

The escargot confuses me. I can't think of any reason why someone would put that word there.

Unrelated but amusing: I love it when statistics are part of environmental storytelling. 2020 with corona had people cautiously buying more books to pass the time but in 2021 they were like "yeah, we might be here a while."
