One of the big outcomes from the presentations is how can we treat staff so poorly and also say what our values are as a party for workers rights? This played out poorly in messaging too. But I don’t have data on how that’s connected—tho it seems to be.

In fact, participants in the presentations began regaling the group with their own gripes from their own states and the mishaps there as well. The outcomes from all three of my presentations was that we didnt take time to train staff or set up systems that work well. ESP in battle ground states.

There are 13 similar responses like this. Some of them are worse. But the main theme is that Black Staffers who filled out the form felt disconnected form the campaign. When I brought up these findings in presentations, folks were never surprised.

Most all the other groups that were filtered on had a score that was HIGHER than the group average. So I started pulling out responses to see what was up.

I want y’all to see how the results skew WILDLY when broken down by race. People who identified as Black or African American had a lower rating for their overall experience working on the campaign than the over all group.

And we gotta dissect that. The preliminary results from the survey that I sent out tells me that not only are Black women experiencing this, but that others are noticing it. And that’s a new thing for me. Usually, folks will be like everything is fine what are they talking about? Not this time.
