If I write a script, act it out, then edit it I’m wearing each of those hats so I should get paid appropriately. I am a part of SAG and sure I can join the WGA but you’re missing my point entirely. These companies are not trying to pay how people should be paid.

And I’m sure there can be a contract to give your work for a limited time and if they want to use it longer or again then they have to pay for it. That would be how I’d make it work at least.

At the base level we should all be getting paid the same entry level wages. Obviously the better the quality you can charge more but we need to stop letting these companies get away with offering pennies for marketing when they are making millions.

This is exactly why I do what I do. A lot of folks get caught up in just trying to replicate what is “working” instead of following their heart and trying to be the change they want to see in the world. Sure, I would do even more if I had the budget but I am working with what I have and I’m happy.
