This should take less than an hour if we can get a few volunteers. If you're available around 7pm Friday evening (August 8th), please let us know, we and your fellow archers would really appreciate your help!

We would very much like to keep things running on time Sat. morning, so that we can finish shooting before weather heats up. To do that, we need to set up target stands/bales ahead of time on Fri. evening (also so that no-one needs to do any heavy lifting in the morning right before shooting).

In addition to regular maintenance, we installed new PacBow bales on five new targets, cleared overgrowth from much of the Upper 14 trail, and rebuilt target rounds in preparations for upcoming tournaments. Great work, everyone, the BMB range is better thanks to your efforts!

No specific qualifications are required, other than being experienced in archery and comfortable showing basic concepts to beginners.

We'll be running two sessions, starting at 8 AM and 10 AM. If you're interested in helping out, please contact us at blackmountainbowmen@gmail.com or 408-982-7414.

Our thanks go out to the DeLong family for their support and patience, to SCC Parks for working with them and with us to get this project done, to BMB Board member Paul Henry for moving things along, and to all of you who donated to help fund this memorial feature.

Bob helped build a lot of the archery infrastructure you see around the range, and it's not an understatement to say that without him, BMB wouldn't even be half the range it is today. We remember him with great love and fondness and will forever be grateful to him for all that he contributed.

In addition to the "usual" items: trash bins emptied, new target faces deployed, weeds whacked, trees trimmed, etc., we replaced bales on eight separate targets with the new high-density bales from PacBow, which should ensure those targets will stop even the fastest arrows for a long time to come.
