Canada buffalo berries, horsetail, foxtail barley, Arctic forget-me-not, and alpine sweetvetch (not fireweed, but it looks very similar).

We only took photos on important occasions, and we needed to wait until the adults had taken 24 photos before they would take the film to the store to get it developed. Sometimes we wouldn’t see the photos until months later.

Every Christmas, I send Canadian treats to my adorable nieces and nephews in the US. This year the postal strike is interfering with my plans, which did not include eating all of the candy myself because it was sitting in my office awaiting shipment.
